Mr. Guarino applies more than 35 years of tax and wealth management experience to his work with individual and family financial planning customers. Taking a comprehensive and holistic approach to the planning process, Jim empowers customers to effectively manage their wealth, navigate their financial future and position themselves towards a secure and satisfying retirement. He is an intense listener who evaluates customer concerns and then coordinates an implementation plan to assist them with attaining their goals and objectives. Jim employs the core principles of financial planning in his advisory relationship approach. This includes application of tax planning strategies, review of investment diversification methodologies, assessment of risk management safeguards and consideration of estate and succession plan designs.

Jim also provides “Personal CFO” services to a select number of the Firm’s high net worth families and family-office customers. The Personal CFO role entrusts Jim with a responsibility to facilitate, orchestrate and collaborate with other advisors (estate attorney, CPA, insurance agent, investment manager) to successfully coordinate a family’s overall wealth management plan. This position often leads to Jim being requested to moderate family council meetings.

Jim’s thought leadership is reflected in various local and national media through speaking and authoring engagements, seminars and presentations. His work has been published in the AICPA and MSCPA journals and he has been quoted in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and the Boston Business Journal.
